Talk and Discussions

Friday 11 October

Pre-booked only

Please email culture@milton-keynes.gov.uk if you would like to book a place.

As part of this two-day conference, Friday’s session will focus specifically on a number of case studies, where artists and creative practices, through the prism of cultural programmes, projects and commissions, have sought to make a positive Climate Action impact. This will include a workshop session led by curator Jes Fernie on Milton Keynes’ recent Pedalling Culture project  and a workshop led by Something and Son.

The conference will bring together regional, national and international examples where public art continues to be commissioned within a city-making agenda and will ask whether these kinds of projects can imagine new possibilities and open up a more democratic and discursive space.

Meeting Place
